Hi, I’m Sohail Ahmad Idrees

I began my Veterinary career in 2013 in Pakistan and qualified as a veterinary surgeon from one of the best colleges in Pakistan in 2018. I worked as veterinary surgeon at Asim pet clinic for 4 years and planned to move the UK. I joined Chorley Vets in September 2022 as a Veterinary Assistant and subsequently passed the statutory exam, obtaining my membership with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to practise in the UK.

My primary interests lie in cardiology and neurology, and I am committed to developing expertise in these fields to provide the highest level of patient care. I have a strong passion for surgery, supported by extensive experience from my home country, and I look forward to continuing to develop my surgical skills during my time at Chorley Vets.

I love playing snooker and my opponent is always my Boss’s Husband Dan. I enjoy cooking and make my own Asian curries, which are always the same just with different meat and vegetables. 

My favourite animals are dogs and cats.
