Personal Experience

I joined Chorley Vets in July 2018 volunteering on my days off and soon fell in love with the whole veterinary profession having always wanting to work with animals.  I was given the opportunity in September 2018 to join the team full time and began my Veterinary Care Assistant qualification which took 12 months to complete.  I worked as a VCA for 6 months after qualifying before staring my Veterinary Nurse Qualification in January 2020.  This was a great challenge through covid but with the support of the fantastic Chorley Vets team and my family and friends, I completed my course and became a fully registered veterinary nurse in July 2023.

I am married and have 2 teenage daughters who keep me extremely busy out of work, we love to travel as a family both abroad and with our touring caravan where our 2 dogs can accompany us.  I also have 2 cats and a crested gecko.

Animals are my passion and I feel very lucky to care for many different species whilst doing a job I love.
