Louise Brotherton

Hi I’m Louise and I’m the head vet here at Chorley Vets. I’m originally from Liverpool, I qualified from Bristol Vet School in 2009.

I worked in mixed practice for 5 years then have been doing small animal practice since then in various practices around Lancashire. I’ve lived in Chorley for 13 years, so it feels right to be working here now! I’m married to Matthew, and we have 2 dogs, Basil the border terrier, Denver the black lab, our cat Nando and our gecko Waylon. I enjoy both medicine and surgery, but my particular interests are feline medicine and geriatric care.

I’m currently undertaking a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice from the University of Liverpool. In my ‘spare time’ I enjoy dog walks and reading crime novels.
