Exotics and Laboratory Investigations, Mental Health Advocate, Team Management and Customer Care
Personal Experience
I began my Veterinary nursing career in 1996 and qualified in 2002. Working in both small and farm animal practices and lecturing in veterinary nursing has given me a varied career.
I gained my Clinical veterinary nursing 1st class honours degree in 2008 holding a head nurse position until 2013, before setting up a family run business (offering Veterinary nursing services) alongside my Locum vet nursing business. I launched my own Veterinary practice in 2016 and have since bought a property that houses both Chorley Vets, both my sons independent pet shops and a dog grooming business!
Early Years
Chorley vets began as a one vet practice in the same building as a reputable, ethical, and knowledgeable pet shop. We have grown from strength to strength, re-investing back into the practice with training and development, whilst ensuring a range of modern facilities, up to date equipment and technologies enabling improved services and diagnostics in house.Â
I have always been passionate about the welfare of animals and customer care and therefore am dedicated toproviding the best level of service possible. Â
Life Goals
Our journey is not just one of veterinary care; it’s a shared venture between Mother and Daughter built on a lifetime oftrust, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
I am a mental health advocate within the practice and I have an amazing team who really do make the dream work and I am eternally grateful for that.Â
At home I live with my farmer husband, Dan, I have 2 cats and 11 guinea pigs and love to spend time with my twin grandchildren, Reggie and Wren.Â
